Shikoku Pilgrimage Introduced in English
A book by a Canadian named Mark Groenewold came out in October 2019, in which he introduced his experiences on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. The book is titled Your Pilgrimage in Japan: A Regular Canadian on the 88 Temple Buddhist Pilgrimage of Shikoku. Overseas researchers tend to focus on Buddhism when introducing the Shikoku Pilgrimage, but he wrote the book from a 'layman's' of view. He hopes his book will encourage people from abroad to be interested in the Shikoku Pilgrimage, as there is much less English information about Shikoku than big cities like Tokyo and Kyoto.
