ITAMI JUZO MUSEUM
In Matsuyama City

 

 


Juzo Itami was born in 1933.@
He was a movie director,
an actor, an illustrator,
a commercial designer,
a writer, an essayist
and so on.

He was passed away
at the age of 64.

Juzo Itami was grown up
in Matsuyama City.
That's why
this museum
was built here.

His wife, Nobuko Miyamoto
is
a curator.


Museum is near Amayama-bashi bridge
along Route 33.
It takes about 20 min.
from Matsuyama-shieki station by bus.

Entrance fee: 800yen(adult)
Open 10:00am`6:00pm
Closed : Tuesday

In the exhibition room, there are 13 sections based on his name Juzo or thirteen,
showing his multipul talent.

Now very popular Japanese-syle confection

In the courtyard, there is a symbol tree,
which has one root but devided two trunks
at the base, showing the relationship
between Juzo and his wife Nobuko.
